FSX KML will not compile into BGL

Can anyone help pls?

I drawn my paths and polygons in Google Earth, I have tagged them as per instructions and I then clicked on build in FSX KML.

I have only managed to get as far as for the build as created XMLs, dbf's, shp's, shx's, and landclass setup info files, however it will not compile these into a BGL.

Below is the text I get from the black box that appears when trying to compile.

I haven't got a clue about what the issues are, but surely someone can please help me out on what I need to do to resolve the issue.

It looks like you don't have the SDK installed.

Have you installed it and patched to SP2?

Yep, I installed the SDK from my FSX deluxe installation disc.

I installed both Service Packs.

Is there a way of finding out what Service Pack as installed? Just in case one of them did not install properly.

But I am pretty certain I installed both service packs.

'"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Environment Kit\Resample"'

Running Win7 or Vista? If so, I would uninstall the SDKs and reinstall outside of the \Program Files folder. Almost certain it would work then.

Yep I am running Windows 7.

I will uninstall it, and then install it onto my C:\user see if that works.

thanks for the tip

Unfortunately, that didn't seem to work, I tried dropping the files manually into the BGL compiler on the re-installed SDK on my normal C drive (not programmes) and it didn't compile the files.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

b.t.w. the FSX KML application would not let me choose where I have placed the SDK, kept giving me an module error message.

ok managed to change the folder paths to find the SDK folder, but I am still getting the same message in the black box as before (see above)

I have both service packs installed.
