FSX Planner error checking problem??

Hi i made an airport from scratch for FSX using FSXPlanner. I did the error check before i compiled and i got this:

Tower Viewpoint Altitude Is Either Below Gr...| This may cause problems.

thats all it says and i dont know what to do because where i have placed the tower viewpoint it is at the same altitude as the airport and i checked this a few time and it definitely is. So what is it that i need to do to get ridd of that error?

Hi Chappy,

Surely you will want the tower viewpoint to be above the airport ground level?
Start the viewpoint setting with, say 50 feet, check it in the sim and adjust accordingly.

Colin

Okay i changed the altitude of the tower viewpoint to 50 feet above the ground, i will check on this when i get it in the sim and stuff. The same error is still in FSXPlanner:

Tower Viewpoint Altitude Is Either Below Gr...| This may cause problems.

Will it affect the airport in any way when it is compiled?
I dont mind if it wont but if it will could somebody tell me how to get rid of the error please?

Thanks for the help so far

Hi Chappy,

As a non FSX Planner user I can't help you any further. If you are still getting problems and have not done too much work on this project perhaps you could try another utility.

Hi,

Is that the full message? (ie ending in Gr...).

Also, that message is just a warning, so if it compiles correctly and the tower viewpoint is actually where you want it to be then there is nothing to worry about.

Yea thats all it says and it ends in the Gr... i dont kno if i can do something to see the rest of the message but thats all it says. I havent really checked the tower viewpoint because of all the autegen scenery in FSX i am trying to get rid of using SBX, but im having a little trouble, so i am just concentrating on getting rid of that and havent checked the tower viewpoint.

With the message ending in GR... it may mean that you need to expand the width of that particular table cell in order to see the full message. The ... means that there is more to the message than could be displayed in the space available.

I tried what i thought i need to do to be able to see the rest of the text but it didnt work. how do i make it so i can see the rest of the text?

thanks

You should just be able to click on the little division between the table columns in the header of the table and drag it to adjust the size.

Okay thanks. i did that and it said tower viewpoint is either below ground or 200 feet or more above ground, but its 50 feet above ground so i dont know why thats still displaying.

i tried to start the airport from scratch and the lat. and long. kept on going back to 000000 for both, so i just used another airport moved it to the right location and i had to change the elevation so that is why i used that file, also i said about the lat. and long. error problem and an admin was going to check to see if there was a bug but i never heard anything back.

I just moved the tower viewpoint to 15.240 metres and there is no error anymore, thanks for the help guys!
