• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hello all, I need someone who can open the default jetway in gmax, retexture the sides with a texture I've already made, and compile it to a bgl. Please e-mail me (mhscenery@gmail.com) if you can do this, I really need it done but don't have gmax.

O I always thought that was a torrent :o thanks!

How can I open up the jetway in gmax though?

Not sure, you can browse the objects with Modelconvertex, the fsx scenery objects are in the Scenery foder. and maybe in Global foder, there is a .bgl file called airports_objects.
Anyway if you want edit some of these objects, be sure it be for your own, you can't distribute any modified model from Fsx, or Microsoft can get angry
You have to install the SDK too, to make sceneries, to work with Gmax and his fsx mdl files, etc, good luck,
Funny that about the torrent :D

Ok no worries, I just decided to go ahead and create my own in sketchup. They may not be attachable, but with a alot of guess and check I was able to align them properly in fsx, I'll post soon in the showroom!

Right, I thought of Sketchup, if you want to model or texturing, people see this tool much more friendly user. and you can edit the fsx materials with the material editor from Modelconvertex. Sketchup and Modelconvertex are great for this pourpose.
