• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

GMax will not export and stops.

Gmax will not export to MDL. I installed all the SDK and it is impossible to export to MDL files. I am not new to this: it is because I had to reinstall Window7. Gmax was working good on the other computer. I have in Gmax all the formats to export but Gmax export to 89% and then seem to stop and go around like it seems to shearch something. Hope you guys can help me here. I am a static plane maker and now it is impossible to do some. Thanks.

The FSTools have nothing to do with the GMax gamepack.

Do you get any error message or warning during exporting? Or does GMax just hang?
 
Open the Properties dialog of the GMax desktop shortcut and enable the following three items:

Launch as Administrator
Disable desktop composition
Disable visual themes
 
Ihave window 7 and do I have the download the .Net framework or is it incorporated in Window 7. I tries everything you said and it is the same thing: Fail to export module. It is the first time i have problems with Gmax. Thank again guys for your help.
 
Oh yes Arno Gmax hangs when I just click my mouse after making an export. It stops working.
 
You need to have the .NET 2.0 framework installed. I don't think it comes by default with Windows. So installing it might help.
