• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Ground Poly not visible P3D V4.4 ADE 1.75.6400 RC1

I have a problem with the visibility of ground polys. I took the Stock Airport LPFR and made 4 ground polys with the texture "gp-Crosshatch_red" to show my problem. As you can see on the picture there are two polys on the apron (asphalt and concrete) one is on the grass and one is half on the apron and half on the grass.
As height I chose 10mm.
As background I have Flatten Mask Class Map Exclufe Autogenous, as Landclass Airfiled2 and Exclude Specifc Airport Backgrounds Flatten MaskClassMap Autogenous.
My problem, the polys on the grass are visible, those on the apron are not. I also already changed the layer from 24 to 16, that didn't help.
Any hint is most welcome.

Why are you using an ADE release candidate and not the current production version?
 
Thank you very much for the quick answer. That was the right question. I have checked in the release candidate whether updates are available and always got the answer I am up to date. I have now updated to 1.76.6715. With the FS8 style GPś it works.

You are welcome. Release candidates are beta and won't always offer an update path to the production versions.
 
The ADE-GP issue is likely due to the elevation of your grassy area being lower than the ARP (i.e., the elevation of the aprons). Add a flatten at ARP elevation. If that doesn't fix it, try checking Generate FS-8Style Polys when compiling.
