Hello guys!
This is my first post and of course i do have a problem in GMAX (what else?).
I'm involved in the EDDP (Leizig/Halle) freeware project and my current task is to build the DHL Hangar. Now, as some of you might know, this is a steel skeleton covered with plastic, which is semitransparent. DHL extends the fact that the planes parked in the hangar can be seen from the outside. I guess, you know, where this is going.
The thing i managed is to get transparent textures for night and day using alphachannels and DXT3 textures. Also textures on other objects inside/behind the plastic walls show up correctly due to renaming the textures. I set the opacity of the plastic wall to 99% in gmax to make the user plane visible inside the hangar.
And now there is the catch: This only seems to work for the daytime. As soon as the night texture is activated, the plane is not visible anymore through the walls.
Am i doing something wrong? Thx for your help and sorry for the long post. I just wanted to point out exactly what i'm on about to get a more specific answer.
