• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I have one question here.

Please read before shooting me. This is not intended spam or advertising.
I only hope some dev here can help me out.

I am selling at Simmarket, but now I want to sell at my ownn website.
I use 2Checkout.com for my credit card supplier.

Microsoft does not require any licence from developers, right?

But then came the vierd thing. The following is the e-mail for 2CO:

____________________________________________
Unsupported service without documentation:

*2CO needs documentation stating that Microsoft allows others to sell
3rd party add-ons to their software. If this documentation cannot be
provided, supplier must obtain license to do so. Please obtain this
information from Microsoft and provide to us as soon as possible to
allow sales on this account.*

Now tell me please, can any one not sell Microsoft Flight Simulator addons without any need of Licence documentation from Microsoft?

I see both new commers and experts selling Flight Simulator Addons.
How can I show this man at 2CO that there is no need for any licence.

I think you need a new credit card supplier. I have never heard of such a demand from a service.

Hi

Yea I know. It is realy crazy.

I know of someone else which uses 2CO and they did not ask him for this they have asked me about.

I wrote back to 2CO ad told them that there was no need for any licences as anyone can make FS addons and sell them if they want to.

I gues they don't get it

Hi

Is there anyway to find a documentation stating that Microsoft allows others to sell 3rd party add-ons to their software like FSX?

Jippy

Finaly, all is solved now: :)

I'm sorry about the misunderstanding. We don't need to have documentation for the type of add-on software you are selling.

I knew it, good someone could set things up right. :D
