• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Historic Flight Plans and Airports for the Classic DC-9s, MD-80s, and the 747s

Hi,

I was wondering if any of you know where I can get historic real world flights that were made in the past, spanning from the 1970s to the early 2000s? The type planes I'm concerned with are the DC-9s, the 727s, the 747s, and the MD-80s. I would like to have a list of real world flights by actual air carriers like these, hopefully giving gate numbers, airport departures, routes, and arrivals. I've tried flight aware but the free versions only go back a couple of months. The paid version is way too expensive and one doesn't even know how far back they go. But it's not worth $40.00 a month, or more. Yes, I've tried to search for something like this but google searches turns up nothing, like always. I wished I would have saved many of those DC-9s, MD-80s 727s, and 747s flight routes from years past at flight aware. These were real world flights and gave information as to what gate and terminal they planes parked at, the route of flight, the altitude, and time of departures and arrivals, as well as the runway used. The most I will pay is around 5 to 10 a month, but it's not worth more than that.

Hi Marc,

I think I got it now. But it really doesn't give much information, no terminal, no gate number, and no flight routes. But I've noticed it only comes up as MSFS. Is this utility only for MSFS2020 or is it for FSX and P3D? And does this utility actually load the files and the old flights into the sim or is it just for getting the information it provides?

Ken.

its only gives you:

Airline, Aircraft, Departure, Arrival, Flight Time, Flight Number, Departure Time, following legs (if any).

No Gate numbers nor terminal.

It is not Linked to any sim, you need to create the route yourself, I personally use SimBrief, with all the FSD informations. and you can export from simbrief to use on any sim
