• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FS2004 How can I "harden" a flatten ?

I created a flatten by ADE9 and compiled it to a "TER" bgl.
Now my aircraft brakes through the ground if I roll outside a taxi/runway...
:(

I shoud have used SBuilder9 instead, because these flattens can be copied to an airport background LWM polygon.

There is no way to "append" an ADE9 flatten in Sbuilder9, because ADE works with .sca and not with .scm.

Is there a way to convert an ADE flatten to a LWM flatten?
:scratchch

I have no problem rolling on ADE flattens in FS9. What is your airport elevation, and what is your flatten elevation? Are you sure you are rolling ON the flatten you made, and not beside it?

Yes, I am sure to be on the flatten.

If I switch from slew mode, my aircraft behaves like ditching in water (typical water effects), but is on the ground.
I suppose there is problem with mixed up LWMs...

It is GCLA LaPalma made by Project Canarias.
There is a known problem with the ground:

========================================================
PATCH FOR CANARYSIM´S GCLA and GCHI. (FS2004 ONLY)
========================================================

This small patch fixes the well known problems (crash) on thresholds 19 and 16 of the CanarySim´s GCLA and GCHI scenery.

INSTALLATION.
------------

- Unzip the file into the FS9\ADDON SCENERY folder.
- Run the FS9 and ADD the new scenery to the Scenery Library. Give the scenery a lower layer than the other CanarySim´s sceneries.
- Close FS9 and run it again to rebuild the scenery data base.

That´s all.

UNINSTALL.
----------

- Go to the FS9 Scenery Library and delete the CS_LA_HI entry. Close the FS9.
- GO to the ...FS9\ADDON SCENERY and delete the CS_LA_HI folder.
