• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hello

Nearly similar, you can open airport bgl with SDE. It may allow you to make some changes, and over all, it will give you an xml file to begin your work in FSX_Planner.
Unfortunately, latest release of ADE don't allow any longer to save in xml format (only bgl), and cross between ADE and FSX_Planner.

Go to www.scruffyduckscenery.co.uk. Select SDE from the top menu and version 0.92 of Bgl2Xml GUI is about half way down the page. Once oyu have it installed got to Help > Check for Updates to see if there is a later version of the application or engine. The GUI version is probably better than the command line version even though it's version number is lower. That is because the command line version does not have the online updater and unless you are batch converting you may find a GUI more friendly

Thanks, Jon. I had been to your site before but i couldn't see the top menu because my Noscript Firefox extension was blocking it. I got it now, thanks.

Thanks for your answer, Russel.

afx_TNCM.bgl is part of a complete set of AFCAD style airports including approaches for FlyTampa's Payware TNCM.

I was contracted to work on the beta for both FS9 and the FSX portions for proper AI/User Aircraft behavior.

afx_TNCM.bgl was not built using FSXPlanner and may present problems for that payware scenery if it is modified outside my Master XML file.

Also keep in mine that adding a ILS to RWY 09 will not do anything for the AI Plane arrival behavior in my afx_TNCM.bgl. A ILS will allow you to see a set of beams on your CDI/radio but ATC will not recognize that as a ILS Runway or approach.

All the AI Planes landing on RWY 09 at TNCM are using a default VFR coded approach until weather goes to less then 3 mile visibility. This will force the AI to use the VOR Approach which has hardfloors coded for the FAF Waypoint.

I would also like to express my strong desires that any modifications you do to afx_TNCM.bgl stay on your computer only. FlyTampa TNCM is a payware scenery Company and you would need the prior approval from both Martin and myself in order to modify my FSX TNCM Airport for the purposes of uploading to various web sites.

Thankyou
