• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi,How to use scenproc to create the effect of cars driving on the road?Or is it even possible to make it?

Hi,

If you make freeway traffic terrain vectors you will get the traffic on the roads as you see in the default scenery.

Thank you.,Arno!I have another question. When I was making a real landscape, I exported a bgl file and then imported it into p3d. The real landscape file will have ups and downs according to the default landscape of p3d. How can I eliminate the ups and downs of the terrain? Because some of my buildings are now underground and some are in the air.

What do you mean with a real landscape?

Sounds like you want to make a flatten. Locally that would be OK, but I would not make them for a big area as that gives weird artifacts.

Yes, I want to flatten the terrain of the entire city. This seems a bit difficult.🥹 Another question, I just used CreateTVecFreewayTraffic to create the vehicles on the road, which command should I use to export them?

Hi,

You need to use the ExportTVecBGL step to export to a BGL file.

You can make a flatten with the CreateTVecAirportBound step, for a flatten you can use the GUID {47d48287-3ade-4fc5-8bec-b6b36901e612}.

But I don't think it is a good idea to make a flatten for an entire city. In real world the area will never to flat, so at the edge of the flatten you will get all kind of artifacts.

Hello:

Classic AI Traffic Aircraft, Ground Vehicles, Boats etc. require flat / level terrain, as in default scenery they "Slew" ...controlled via BGL files.

But, Freeway Traffic CVX Vector objects move over any terrain without use of a flatten (they can climb vertically if a draped vector does).

They also display on top of custom photo-real aerial imagery BGL scenery draped on top of terrain mesh (but other CVX vectors do not).

Hi,arno,When I use ExportTVecBGL to export, how should I fill in the options and prefix options? No matter how I fill them in, I always get an error when exporting

The shp2vec tool from the SDK is needed, you need to make sure you have the path to it set in the options.

The prefix is just what name you want each BGL file to start with.

Hi arno ,After I specified the shp2vec path, this error occurred. How do I solve it?

Which SDK are you using? In many of the recent P3D sdks the tool is broken.

In this thread it was discussed that versions before 5.3 are OK:
