• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS24 I would like someone to model a building in my town to add into MSFS 2024 and turn my biggest dream in gaming into reality.

The Baker Hotel in Mineral Wells Texas. The local airport is KMWL in MSFS. If this is not the right forum for this post please let me know, and where I need to post. If it is okay here I can add further details, such as coordinates in MSFS, SSs from MSFS of the current autogen, and such. I'd want to keep it as simple as possible, not too little details as to be blurry but also not ultra detailed to be FPS hungry, although I do have quite a monster PC. I have no idea what it would cost to have someone model the building for me.

The building can be seen by searching for "Baker Hotel in Mineral Wells."

Please let me know something, this has been a long-time dream. Just a simple model of the Baker in MSFS 2024 as I fly over my hometown would be awesome. It is 14 stories high, but being a small town it only has autogen, the location and shape are correct, but it is one story high.

I would only need the main building.

The grounds and swimming pool, or extra details are nice, but I think just seeing the basic building in the sim would be so awesome. I am getting older and my health is not the best, this dream being fulfilled would mean the world to me.

Thank you.

Hi Aron, if this is your dream, I can try to help you with it. Send me a direct message.

I hope it’s not too late, but I specialize in modeling historic places for MSFS 2024, especially from Golden Age of Aviation (1920s to 1930s). I'm currently developing several army airfields to complement Redwing's 1935 sceneries, and I attached some WIP screenshots in this post. I pride myself in accuracy by locating historic blueprints or utilizing photogrammetry.

I would be happy to take on the Baker Hotel free of charge to build up my portfolio. I already have a lead on where I might locate the blueprints to the Baker Hotel, but in case it's a dead end, I might need to request a series of pictures from the outside to build a photoscan that I can use as a reference. Otherwise, I'll use perspective plotting and USGS LIDAR and orthoimagery to get the best result.

I was wondering how Tripo AI would do, so I gave it a photo of the hotel -- this took 3 minutes, the back side isn't great, as it didn't have a photo. Amazing what this tool can do, though.
