• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Sorry for being a pain in the but hear...but I think I'm out of options! I've done a search on all our posts... to doing a web search as well..and still I can't get this parking code thing figured out:( In fsx planner I have Westjet airline assign to "Gate_small" ,even color coded to airline call sign "WJA",color being orange.even the right "radius")Under,Microsoft\Simobjects\TrafficX\jfai_737w in the airdraft.cfg file,and I think the codes are right.

atc_parking_codes=WJA.
atc_parking_types=GATE

The flight plans or even correct as well! I'm pretty sure I'm doing this all right unless I'm missing some small detail:o And still different airlines are parking in my coded spots! whyyyyy....lol.

please help Sixxer,

Do the planes parking in your spots have codes of their own? If not make sure you have non-coded spots for them to park in.

Bobby! I have read some of your posts, thank you for the reply:)

Bobby...yes they have there own coded places.Do u mean the other planes need non coded places to park? I'm using "Traffic x" As my real world "AI".They have a different radius then,FSX has.Could this be the problem m8?

Thxs,James:o

Think of it this way. If (for example)the Delta parking spots are all full, and another Delta flight comes in, ATC will put it in some open spot of the proper size even if it is codedfor another airline. I think it is a good idea to have some non-coded spots for that kind of over-flow parking.

If Delta planes are parking in United spots before Delta spots are full, then you may need to look at parking radius or wingspan.
