• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi, I have some sort of problem with the coordinates, Im unable to enter my details properly due to a pop-up saying (507) Points To be Verified - For example here's the info i used:

NW: 35.675000° Latitude 151.452778° Longitude
SE: 34.517778° Latitude 151.258333° Longitude.

I Had no luck with that, This appeared to be perfectly good infomation. But it only brought up 507, Unless i enter the info like this:

NW: 35.675000° Latitude 151. Longitude
SE: 34. Latitude 151.258333° Longitude

:yikes:
This would mean that my scenery would end up in the wrong place ? It really seems like it. I've been going through some massive tutorial which i grabbed from avsim. And that has helped me get started but it doesnt go into to much detail concerning my problem

Thanks for any help

where is the location..meaning name of airport or town and what are you using to place your scenery..program...xml?

Dave

You have to switch longitude coordinates, because 151.452778° is eastern than 151.258333° so instead of NW-SE you had entered NE-SW. That's probably the source of error.

Good point dude, I'll just continue to experiment with both Ground2k and SBuilder I've just started with the scenery stuff 20-30 hours ago. I got minimum knowledge lol. That tutorial for Ground2k is great, Is there anything like that for SBuild ? All i could find was tuts for bit more advance stuff. Just need somethign with basics which would basically start me off.

Hey all. I just downloaded 2.05 and I haven't installed the updates yet. I'll do that in a few minutes. I'm wondering how the design window is oriented:

N/S E/W

OR

N/S W/E

It seems like it is the second. Moving the cursur right (west) increases the longitude instead of decreasing it. This is unless it is oriented so that you are looking up from under the earth.

It's just really distracting since I've just began designing and I'm wondering if there's a way to change it. Or do I just have to adapt?

Thanks,

Scott

Hi Scott,

Right is East, left is West, top is North, bottom is South. Just take a look on the globe or any map.

In FS coordinate system East has positive sign, West - negative, North - positive, South - negative.
