if anyone has ever experienced something at the time of import from 3DS into GMax?

I have a sneaky feeling that not all 3DS files are created equally ....

That's why I have several programs with import export capability.

I've had an obj file that won't be opened by Blender, but it will be opened by AC3D or TrueSpace7. (or vice versa). A little moving around the programs and then I get it where it's supposed to go.

I'v got an answer, when you export 3DS from SketchUp, please see all the files texture.

if there are files *.png, then that is the cause an error, remove your sketchup object which is using a png files and replace with jpg file. just to remember remove and replace the object and cannot be replace texture only.

png files using in sketchup to transparant of object.
