• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Import/load .bgl Bounding Box parameters

Hi guys n gals, hopefully this will get read. I want to work on a small area of a large CVX file and want to know how I enter the bounding box geo parameters for a small area say N41 - N 41.3 and E28- E29. TSPro seems happy with the small latitudes but I cant get it to accept the small longitudes as I get an error saying one must be larger than the other but if I try to enter the E28 in the Westerly box it wont accept it.
Grateful for suggestions,
Cheers n happy flying

Andrew

Hello:

East is Positive, West is negative for Longitude in Geographic coordinates.

Westerly coordinate values are written with a (-) character prefix; the farther West, the greater the (negative) Longitude value.

As you may already know, Decimal Geographic coordinates are easier to work with

See Page 11 of 20 in the TSPro Manual PDF attached below.

G'day Gary
thanks for the reply. The issue I have is working in a small area EAST of 0* long. The westerley box will not accept a positive value and if I use a "0" value the bounding is still too large for my needs. I am trying to work on a small area around the Bosphorus so I need to enter two positive coordinates in the West/East boxes as the Bosphorus is east of 0* long.
Hope that makes sense.
Cheers
Andrew

EDIT: I do not know what I was doing wrong but now it seems to work for me. Sorry for the kerfuffle, if any. I'll crawl back into my wee hole now and get on with it. :p
