• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I have a mission idea for fsx. This idea includes a in-flight fueling. i know i wouldnt have any problems modeling the object and importing it to fsx but my question is can it be interactive. can i make it an ai maybe share the script from a fuel truck. any one know if this is possible. or any ideas to make it possible. maybe a third party program through sim connect. if i went that route would i still make it to where you have to line up with the fuel nozzle on a comp controled fuel plane?
 
Buy the new Acceleration pack - you'll find a mission with this feature included. ;)
 
I have watched actual in-air refueling of F16s from the little window next to the boom :)

Let's just say I am here with the fuel probe out.

Is there a button to press, like the one for calling a fuel truck. Or is it triggered by position, like formation off the wing, or low and below? I have tried all above with no luck, if it is possible, I will try it again.

Or, is it in the final FA18 mission? I have not done this mission yet.

Unfortunately at this moment there is no possibility to see the pipe between both aircraft. Also there is no real refueling - it's done in 10% steps afaIk.
Anyway nice idea from MS. Nice work, Paul. :)

This is true ... there isn't an actual hose leading from the refueler to the F18 ... however, the pilot of the F18 should position himself fairly close to and just below the tanker (closer than Gunner is) ... until he starts seeing fuel being loaded (your MFD has a fuel panel and you will see in pounds the fuel being added once you are close enough.)

Ahh, thanks, that's what I was looking for. The screen shot is what I have been using for wallpaper and was handy :)

I also see a new Refill Action. When I finish up flying the Acceleration missions, I will have a lot of new toys to play with when making missions :)
