• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I am receiving this compilation error on a new airport I am trying to construct. If anyone can offer any advice I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Parse complete!

Can't copy BGL file into the destination folder:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Environment Kit\BGL Compiler SDK\Coniston CSC9.BGL (The system cannot find the file specified)

OK - I was able to resolve the problem by starting all over again and attempting to compile after every change was made.

It turns out I had a starting location with no Heading, Number or Designator. By either deleting the start location or adding the required information the problem of compilation was resolved.

If only that was the end of the problems.

Now what happens is that once the airport is selected and I click on OK - the program crashes.

Back to the drawing board.

:o

By default everything had a check mark except 'Delete All Approaches'.

There was a check mark in 'Delete All Runways' and 'Delete All Startpoints' but no check marks in 'Delete All Frequencies'.

I'll remove the check marks and hope it works.

Thank you.

** Update **

Removing all check marks and I still get the program crash.

Update

For reasons best known only to FSX and FSX Planner - this file problem has now dissappeared.

FSX no longer crashes when attempting to select this airport as a departure point, and the file compiles with no difficulty.

Now I just need to figure out how to delete the trees from the middle of the runway.

I have tried an exclusion zone but no luck. If anyone has any ideas I would be greatful.
