Hi Gary,
Well, I tried that and that does not make any difference. I right clicked on the Sketchup 8 icon shortcut on my desktop and clicked Run as Administrator. I'm still getting the error prompts. I was wondering if it could be something I'm doing in creating this file but I guess if that was the case, it would not have imported on your system.
Did you see the satellite view of the KBHM airport?

When I installed the plugin, I did it from inside Sketchup by using the Install extension button. I assume I did it correctly. I don't understand why I'm getting these prompts if I did everything correctly, and I am running Windows 7 64 bit.
Hi Ken
Please explain this more clearly, as I do not understand what you mean by seeing the satellite view of the KBHM airport.
Where was it that you anticipated I was to see a satellite view of the KBHM airport: ?
* Sketchup (after import of your "Shuttlesworth Airport.kml" file)
...or:
* Google Earth (after double-clicking your "Shuttlesworth Airport.kml" file in Windows Explorer)
Did you attempt to export from Google Earth via the "Shuttlesworth Airport.kml" file, anything other than 1 or more poly-lines ...via the "Add Path" feature on the Google Earth Icon Toolbar?![]()

I thought that was the purposed of the kml tool, to be able to download images from Google Satellite views, since Google no longer provides the Satellite images. I thought it was an alternative way to get the satellite images. Before in Sketchup, one could select File, click on Geo Location, and Add Location, and that would open a satellite images so that one could use to make 3D models, as I did with the KBHM Terminal. That is no longer possible in the make versions of Sketchup, unless you buy Sketchup Pro. That's what I though this tool does, and it was an alternative, or a work around, and that's why I asked if you had a satellite image of the airport. I guess I must have missed understood about what this too was for. So, what is the purpose of this kml tool if it's not for attaining satellite images?
Well, double clicking the kml file on my desktop does open the Google Earth Pro and brings up the satellite view of that airport.
See the photo of what I did below in the jpg file.
Notice at the left under Places at the bottom, you'll see the Shuttlesworth Airport kml file that I right clicked on when I saved it to my desktop. I hope this helps explain what I did.
Okay before I leave, am I correct that you want me to continue this discussion at the very first link you posted above?
Ken.
Please review very carefully, the entire procedure for the so-called "Sketchup geolocation work-around":

Work-around:
To use any Sketchup 8 version to Geo-locate 3D models / import aerial imagery 'background' images:
Google Earth (aka "GE"): < uses stand-alone desktop application >:
1.) Set user eye-point camera in top-down view:
2.) Log geographic coordinates for a corner of a building
3.) Take measurements for the longest dimension of the building end-to-end
4.) File > Save > Save image (save a *.JPG file to disk)
