Dear FSDevelopers -
I'm revising a coastline using Ground2K4 and, after overcoming a problem with G2K4 being unable to calculate coastlines, I now have the problem that default coastlines seem to be affecting the new one.
To show you what I mean, I've montaged 2 images with the larger image showing the area with no additional landclasses at all (the landclass layer is deactivated), and an inset showing what I'm trying to achieve. You can see a channel in the inset part, and that's supposed to be as far "inland" as the water reaches, but to the landside of that channel there's a "flooded area that follows the edges of cells and also of default coastlines. I've covered this area with a VTP exclude to get rid of this, but the flooding still happens. I've also explicitly redefined land use and water types in this area. Somehow I thought that might be enough to get the coast/channels that I wanted.
Any ideas as to what obvious thing I'm missing?
