• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Latest update CTD when building project

I have a project I started in previous version and now when I try to build it again the simulation crasch to desktop and I have to repair the sim in michrosoft store to be able to start it again. Anyone have a clue?
 
I created a CTD before when removing the [FLAPS] section from the aircraft configuration files. It's a bug in MSFS that took us days to pinpoint. If something similar happens to you, retrace your steps by reverting your project back to the SDK sample and slowly introduce changes until it breaks.
It would help if you could provide at least SOME information on what you're working on, what steps you have done and what the outcome was. "My project crashes the sim" isn't really enough I'm afraid.
 
I downloaded the new SDK and tried it. Same problem. I started a new scenery project according to Flying Thestons youtube videos and as soon as I build the project the first time I get a CTD and need to repair the simulator. I don´t know where to start fault finding.
 
No one having similar problem with the latest version of msfs and latest SDK? Please help. I made four sceneries without any major problem before the update. Now I cant even save a project without CTD.
 
Not saying it is solved but here is how I got it working again. After the CTD I tried the packagebuilder in the tools folder and it worked. After using that for a while I dared press the build button in the sim and it worked again. Pretty unstable and unpredictable but by fiddling around you solve most of the problems. Now I am a happy builder again.
