• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.

FSXA Library Creator 2.0

My system is Win7 64-bit HP,and .NET Framework 2.0 was installed as part of the O/S.
This is what the system says when I tried to install NetFx64.exe, the combined 32 and 64 bit .NET 2.0 version.

(I installed with no problems yrs ago on my old 32 bit XP system.)

When I create a new library with LibraryCreator 2.0, I tell it to create LIBRARY_A in my FSX_Gmax.....\scenes folder.

When I open /scenes folder, it is empty.

I want to store my MDL's but cannot.

When I search for LIBRARY_A, I get just a shortcut named LIBRARY_A but the dialog box says the path is not valid.

Same with opening the file location. Shortcut with a bad path, YES, actual library, NO.

Anyone with Win7 64 bit run into this?

If I remember well I think I had a similar problem, the issue was that I named the new library but the path was not specified, anyway try to download the last release, I think it's v.3, sorry but I can remember exaclty what the problem was, but no should be a serious problem, I have W7 64 and all working right.

Here's the fix...

I created the library and immediately put an MDL into it. Apparently, empty libraries are not easily found.

Hi,

I have no problem with the tool in Windows 7 x64, both v2 and v3.

I am not completely sure what happens from your description. But for sure it makes sense when you create a library to directly add a model. Saving an empty library is not really useful.
