Hello,
I recently started editing and adding materials to all the aircraft I fly to give it better reflections (my attempt to get some P3D-style reflections in FSX). I did this via ModelConverterX's material editor and adding environmental, fresnel and specular maps. I was quite impressed with the results on the Skyspirit 767-200&300 v5 (almost looked like FSX payware quality) but a reoccurring problem that I face is the lights. Before exporting, I was amazed with the ground illuminating lights, beacon lights and strobe lights illuminating perfectly but now, after exporting, the lights aren't working properly. Now, I cannot actually see the beacon or strobe lights even when their respective switches are turned on. Instead, I see ground illuminating lights that are continuously flashing despite its the respective lights not actually on. The taxi, logo, nav and landing lights are working normally. So far, other animations are also working just fine. I am aware that skyspirit lights are controlled via a control panel but I was able to control them directly from the VC before so that should nit be an issue.
What I tried so far:
- I tried exporting the model without making any tweaks via MCX to see whether adding the maps caused the problem however that was not the case. I still faced lighting issues.
- I tried adding the beacon lights provided by the model by activating it in the aircraft.cfg and removing the // but to no avail.
- I tried changing the visibility conditions so that the ground illuminations only occur when the light is on but no it does not work at all (no ground illuminations).
I have added an attachment to show how the lights are supposed to look (this was before I tried to export via MCX). Does anyone have any ideas as to why I have lighting issues after exporting
?
P.S I am only exporting for personal use as to not infringe on Posky and Skyspirit's copyrights.
