• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hey everyone! I'm Mikhael, the creator of SkyForge, an independent project dedicated to developing tools and innovations for IVAO, flight simulation and technology. SkyForge is an ongoing and growing project.

Right now, we're a small but dedicated team, and I’m looking for passionate individuals who want to be part of something exciting. Whether you're into aviation, software development, UI/UX, research, QA Tester, Community Manager, science, space, or technology in general, there's a place for you at SkyForge!

What You Should Know:

  • This is currently a non-profit project, but I do plan to monetize it in the future.
  • All skill levels are welcome! There are multiple roles available, so if you're passionate about these fields, there's an opportunity for you.
  • SkyForge is growing fast, and this is a chance to be part of it from the ground up.

📜 Contribution Agreement & NDA

Since SkyForge is mostly open-source, a strict NDA is not required for most contributors. However, I ask all team members to sign a Contribution Agreement before working on the project. This helps:
✅ Protect the project’s integrity – Ensures that any contributions made to SkyForge remain part of the project and cannot be claimed by individuals later.
✅ Maintain legal clarity – Makes sure that any code, assets, or content contributed can be used freely within SkyForge.
✅ Prevent conflicts in the future – Avoids situations where contributors might remove their work after it has been integrated.

For team members working on sensitive or private features, an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) might also be required to protect internal planning, future monetization strategies, and proprietary tools.

If you're interested, feel free to reach out via email at admin@skyforge.com.
You can also check out the project at skyforgehq.com.

Hi there! I checked out your web site, it looks very ambitious and seems to span a lot of fields and technologies. The question is, is this a paid position?

Hello, thank you for checking it out. At this moment it is not, I am still trying to build a team and structure everything, but eventually it will be, obviously - but not for now, sorry.

Ok, thanks for clarifying. You may want to include a bit more info and clarify how collaboration/contribution to this project will exactly work, because it seems you are asking for non-paid volunteers to work on developing something that you intend to monetize later.
