• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

suddenly developer menu does not appear anymore even if devel mode is checked on, does someone had same issue ?

Did you restart already. It can be buggy. Ive seen it that when I owe the menu the fps counter still shows up so I can imagine some other bugs here too
 
restarted several times, tried others options, set/unset developer mode, no joy.
In fact i can't activate developer mode anymore, so i'm stuck there.
Hope there is a way to develop out of the sim in some way.

This has happened to me also. Now cannot edit aircraft and reload in sim. I now have to quit the sim and start it again to show edits. So it now takes 10 minutes just to reload one edit! I've tried everything: re-start windows, edited the "myproject" file in users\roaming \documents. If I go to config file and do this: "fps window on =1" then the fps info shows but there is still no developer black menu. I've been working with this showing for several days and suddenly it decides not to show. I am completely stumped as to how to get it back.
 
I'm sure you've tried it already: but just in case: have you tried reinstall sdk? ...since it may set/reset somethings needed for the sim.... anyway just a thought (and don't get mad at me. I just didn't see anybody mention it) [runs and hide]

That's a good point. I'm going try uninstalling the re-installing the SDK. I'll report back if this worked. Thank you.
 
I hope it for you but the Dev menu is available for everyone, regardless of SDK installed or not. Is the sdk even connected to the sim in any way?

I would make a ticket and ask in msfs forum
 
I confirm I uninstalled then re-installed the SDK. Still no developer mode menu. I have looked through all the cfg and xml files and none of them appear to have changed. This is infuriating but also most odd. The menu was showing fine until I ran the sim this morning. I do not recall changing anything between when it worked and now doesn't. Could it be some kind of window sizing/aspect ratio? In fsx/p3d you call up the menu by pressing the ALT key by default. No key appears to bring up the dev menu. I've tried all possible key combinations and no luck.

If anyone has a solution I'd love to hear it.
 
SOLUTION Here!!

So obvious now I think about it. If you are missing your dev mode top menu it is because you went into options / general and disabled online mode. Go to options/general/DATA and at the top of the page change "onlineFuntionality" to ON. Immediately your developer mode menu will show!
 
yep it worked, thanks a lot.
Res-etting on line mode OFF devel menu remains until the next sim re-launch.
Should be corrected since not all user can stay connected having slow DSL line, devel mode should be available also in offline
