• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Just wanted to let you know that I expect to have an initial version of AIFP for MSFS2020 in about a week. This will be an alpha version and I would hope a few experienced AIFP users who have purchased MSFS2020 would be prepared to help me validate that release. If you would like to help out, please email me at don at stuff4fs dot com. Please, only experienced AIFP users reply.
I don't want to overcommit because I feel like I'm not keeping up with my testing the ADE alpha. But would you mind answering a question about AIFP and MSFS? I've tried to make new custom offline AI traffic work using just the built-in MSFS aircraft and TTools 2.02 and nothing ever shows up in the sim. People have posted on various websites that the process does work, but none of those people have posted a tutorial showing exactly how to do it.

So to my question. Is the testing of AIFP going to be limited to the app correctly finding MSFS aircraft models and liveries and then creating flightplans? Or will it also create a complete subfolder which then can be added to the Community folder?

My goal, and I see no reason yet why it can't be achieved, is the latter with AIFP providing the same services in F20 as it does for other versions - save for installation of aircraft and editing aircraft files. And that includes not only creating a folder to be added to the Community folder. but actually saving it in that folder.

We'll know within the week.
