• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

(this is under FSX but I also have the FSX Acceleration add on but idk if it makes a difference, I have had the exact same problems even before i installed Acceleration) I have read over the complete installation area of the manual that was included with FSX: Delux and I have done everything it said to do and I changed the variables on the <Disabled> entries to False (<Disabled>False</Disabled>) The pics show everything I am talking about. When I start flight sim X right before it shows the main menu it pops up with a diagnostics windows and says that the SDK is not loaded (>.<)
what the :censored:?? i have tried many things, the only thing that got that diagnostics window to show was that i put the dll.xml and the SimConnect.xml and Simconnect.cfg file into the C:/Users/xxx/Documents/Flight Simulator X Files folder. Then it showed that. Before, it showed nothing and there was no menu bar in FSX. There still is not a menu bar in FSX. I need extreme help, I just reinstalled the SDK and tried everything again and it is still giving me trouble saying that the SDK is not loaded when the diagnostics windows appears on startup. NOTE: I AM USING WINDOWS VISTA (IF IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE) Take a look at these pictures and tell me if there is any problems and please help me, PLEASE!!

This is the diagnostics window that opens when I start FSX:

This is my dll.xml file in the Application Data folder:

Finally, here is a picture of my Application Data folder to verify the correct contents, the blacked out areas is where I blacked out my name for confidentiality:

Please help me out! I have been looking for help for over 6 months without luck! Thanks!!!

You are still using the RTM SDK, (simconnect & OPT versions are wrong).

You have incorrectly installed the SDK,
possibly to a different location,
or possibly applied a system restore.

Simconnect files should all be dated 22/08/2007.
Simconnect dll should be version 10.0.61637.0

Look at the versions listed in your screenies -
Your Simconnect files are all dated prior to SP2's release.
Your Simconnect dll is version 10.0.60905.0

Problem Resolved

Hey! It works, I got the SP2 update for the SDK off of my acceleration CD and walla! I also put the SimConnect .cfg and .xml files into Flight Simulator X Files and then it started working and shows a dialog box at startup saying DLL Loaded and there is now an object placement tool under the tools menu and i can now create missions and stuff! Thanks you guys really helped!
