• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

hi, can you guys please help me out, i just need some advice on what software would be the best for me to use, i want to replace the default scenery for mumbai, i am not trying to use high resolution images or increase the graphical quality, all i want to do is make the content of the scenery realisic, for example, mumbai airport has hardly any grass on it, and on one side there are slums and the other side there are hotels and buildings, but on fs2004 you see grean grass, and forests and stuff like that, i would like to use google earth or map images but i want the graphics quality to be the same as or better than fs2004 scenery graphics, my main objective here is not to improve the graphics, but to make it actually look like mumbai-i dont no if you understand what i am trying to say:confused:.

but please, i would be very grateful if you gave me some advice on what software i could use and what would be the best way to do this.
 
Hi,

You could try to use a tool like SBuilder to alter the landclass around the airport. That way you can change the forest areas to residential or what else fits best for that specific area. This would be the quickest way to alter the looks I think.

The other option, if you have aerial images that you can use, is to place these with the terrain SDK tools. Then it will for sure more look like the real world, but it can result in a lot of textures (so bigger scenery) and you need to have access to images that you are allowed to use.
