• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hello,
in FSX, LGAV airport ILS are really messed with wrong idents.
I have orphaned all three ILS and created new ILS approaches and I assigned them the correct idents but now I cannot compile. How can I solve the problem?
These are the wrong stock settings
ILS IATR ILS/DME 21L 111.10
ILS IEVR ILS/DME 03R 111.10
ILS IATL ILS/DME 21R 110.50
and these the right ones I have assigned
ILS IATR ILS/DME 03R 111.10
ILS IEVR ILS/DME 21R 110.50
ILS IATL ILS/DME 03L 110.50
ILS IEVL ILS/DME 21L 111.50

I have uploaded my new airport file .
Thanks in advance

You cannot delete or otherwise remove stock ILS as far as I know (if that is what you are trying to do). Orphaning an ILS will remove it to a distance from the airport but it does not remove the Ident as a valid ILS - FS does not allow us to do this as I recall. So if you want to use the existing stock ILS in a different location then I hink you need to try moving them and resetting the heading. Within the airport you should be able to do that.

OK.I tried to move the ILS to another location. For example I took ILS (Localizer,Glideslope,DME) from runway 21R and moved it to runway 3L in order to have the correct ident.I changed the heading from 216 to 034 but the ILS is still listed as ILS 21R.When I am trying to compile I get an error and the fault finder gives me the message ILS Wrong location.Any suggestions?

Well the compiler error is duplicated waypoints. Switch to Approach Mode via the button near top right of the display. Then Lists > Waypoints. Sort the list by Ident by clicking the column heading. Now select and delete any duplicated idents so that only one of each remains.

Duplicated waypoints generally arise if you have added a user ILS to the same runway more than once and then deleted it and re-added it again.

Now close the list and go back to Airport Mode and Compile.

The Fault Finder is issuing some warnings - you can compile the airport and check if it is working or not in FSX.

Ok I deleted the double waypoints, but now I have a problem with the glideslope that sends me to the end and not the beginning of the runway. How should I place the glideslope on a runway? It is a green triangle which I cannot rotate like the localizer.

The Glideslope should take the heading you set for the localizer. It may not change in the ADE display unless you click on the glideslope feather - that works here.
