Hi All,
I am seeking help from any V4 experts. I'm trying to use dynamic lighting, but drop a ton of frames in doing so. I'd go and ask others if they get the same FPS hit and they say no. Which makes me curious as to whether it's a PC problem compared to an FS problem, although my PC should handle everything fine.
I have been searching the internet and found that all scenery must be updated to be compatible v4.
I have completed this but still, notice the frame loss.
I have attached a few photos of what I'm talking about, you will notice that the photo1 has ORBX v4 scenery at night, photo2 has ORBX v4 scenery at day and photo3 has default at night. Please take a look at the FPS drop!
Hopefully, someone will have the solution to this issue.
My PC Specs are:
i5 - 4460 3.2Ghz
GTX 1060 3GB
12GB RAM
Cheers
RS

http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/th...orting-from-p3dv3-to-p3dv4-is-a-no-go.440336/Users who turn on the landing lights in a Prepar3D v4 exported scenery will generally see only a slight performance hit, but if the same user then moves to an airport that was exported using the FSX, FSX-SE or Prepar3D v3 scenery tools- that user will almost always see a significant performance hit.
