• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

By changing distances to feet in the settings menu but not parking radii and then you click on any parking slot and change from say Ramp_mil_cargo to something else the radius changes to the feet equivelent but is still shown at metres.
ie Settings\units change distance to feet
change parking slot from Ramp_Mil_Cargo to Ramp_Cargo Radius goes from 44.00 meters to 164.04 meters

Another minor parking related item...

Yesterday when using ADE Home for the first time
to add parking at Edwards ( Aces neglected to
include ANY parking there! ) I ran across a minor
hinderance.

With ADE and FSX locked, moving the FSX aircraft to
the position I wanted a parking space, once the
parking spot was layed down I attempted to connect
the parking place to the taxiway system.
As long as the FSX aircraft was "on the spot" I could
not sucessfully make a connection....I got the link
but it ending with a node on top of the parking
space.
Moving the FSX aircraft off the spot I could then
get a connection to the parking space without
the addition of a node on top of the space.

Another item, perhaps a "wish list" thing, would
be for the view to automatically move when laying
down long elements that extend beyond the current
views boundries. At present one must zoom out to
a point where the entire area is shown that will
contain a particular element ( taxi paths, etc )

Thanks for all the effort to create this much
needed tool, Jon!
