• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v4 Passenger with Payload Visibility

Hi!

For the current Chevrolet project a few passengers should be assigned a Visibility, so that the people can be visible or hidden via the payload menu of the P3Dv4:

This menu is meant for:
p3dv4_payload_visiblity.jpg

Here's the section in the aircrafts.cfg:

Code:
max_number_of_stations = 4
station_load.0 = 136,   -‪1.36811‬,  ‪5.347769‬, -‪1.617454‬, Driver
station_load.1 = 154,   -‪1.630577,‬ ‪5.364173,‬ -‪1.604331‬, Co-Driver
station_load.2 = 125,   -‪1.496063, 1.909449, -‪1.630577‬, Passenger 1
station_load.3 = 132,   -‪1.499344‬, 1.870079, -‪1.633858‬, Passenger 2

Here is the Visibilty Code I cobbled together:

Code:
<PartInfo>
<Name>chevrolet_driver</Name>
<Visibility>
<Parameter>
<Code>
(A:PAYLOAD STATION WEIGHT:0) 0 &gt; if{ 1 } els{ 0 }
</Code>
</Parameter>
</Visibility>
</PartInfo>

Of course the code does not work :( How should it be otherwise :D
Has anyone ever tried something similar and where could the error be in the code?

Thanks Manfred!

Unfortunately, the new code does not work either:

Code:
<PartInfo>
<Name>chevrolet_driver</Name>
<Visibility>
<Parameter>
<Code>
(A:PAYLOAD STATION WEIGHT:1) 0 &gt; if{ 1 } els{ 0 }
</Code>
</Parameter>
</Visibility>
</PartInfo>

Do I have to specify a unit of measure, something like this:

Code:
<PartInfo>
<Name>chevrolet_driver</Name>
<Visibility>
<Parameter>
<Code>
(A:PAYLOAD STATION WEIGHT:1, Pounds) 0 &gt; if{ 1 } els{ 0 }
</Code>
</Parameter>
</Visibility>
</PartInfo>

The passenger should be displayed when the weight of "Station:1" is greater than 1 pounds/kilogram. If "Station:1=0 pounds/kilogram" is, then the person should not be displayed:)

Problem solved!

This Code works:

Code:
<PartInfo>
<Name>chevrolet_driver</Name>
<Visibility>
<Parameter>
<Code>
(A:Payload Station weight:1,pounds) 0 &gt; if{1} els{0}
</Code>
</Parameter>
</Visibility>
</PartInfo>

Maybe it helps others with a similar problem :)

Edit
Thanks to Manfred who pointed me in the right direction!
