Hello,
Here is the problem: I have created a scene with photo coverage for FSX and Prepar3D. The scene on Prepar3D works very well especially on the 64 bits version. On FSX after a few minutes, most often after a panning, the simulator crashes.
After checking all the technical points and BGL, the only possible source of error would be the size of the 4 tiles. Indeed each tile (BGL) is more than 30 Mb and the starting images (8 BMP and 4 TIF) are more than 330 Mb.
As I reworked each image to homogenize the colors, remove uninteresting details (cars, parking, etc), I wanted to know if there was a way to cut these 12 images into smaller elements so that FSX could accept this more easily.
I think I read a method proposed by someone on FSDevelopers but I can't find it.
If someone can give me some advices, it should be appreciated.
Didier
