• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSXA Poor quality of backroundpicture in the latest version.

I insert .jpg pictures as airport backround in ADE and set quality to 100%. Unfortunately, the display quality of the backround pic will be no better no matter what I try. The resolution remains lower than that from the picture. That makes placing small objects very difficult with ADE (Pro).
 
Have you checked the image quality setting by selecting the image, editing the object and changing the value?
 
I rememberwe had this issue in an old version of ADE. I assume you have 1.50.4402? If not then please update to it. If you have then you could try setting the value to 0, save the properties and then set it back to 100. If that does not work then I am not sure. I can't replicate the issue here at the moment. The alternative would be to load the image again.
 
I've got a similar problem with the latest version...how big is the picture though?

Thanks for the tips. Unfortunately, nothing helps - the picture is blurry in ADE. I have also tested various resolutions and the result is always the same quality. I use the 1.50.4402 Pro Version of ADE.
 
How big is the image? Can you please zip it up and email it to me - jon AT scruffyduck DOT co DOT uk

Thanks Jon for your Test. I have found now, that the image is blurred, when i inserted it with the coordinates?! Without this coordinates, there is sharp.

I will check that out, however I am not sure why it should happen......
