I used an ESRI Shape (SHP) file to create a new project by using the File | Append File | ESRI Shape File menu option.
I noticed that no matter what I do the entire contour shows up as dots rather than a continuous line. Yet if I check the properties (context menu) of that shape it gives me the menu option "Convert to Line" which makes me believe it is currently a polygon.
How comes these ESRI Shapes do not show up as polygons? the main problem being that if you zoom in just a bit then the whole thing becomes invisible and you can't see a line or anything that can give you a reference. If I enable the background I see that I am in the right geographical location but still can't see the lines or polygons as I do in regular SBX projects.
Another problem being it doesn't show the "Fill/Slice to QMID 11" menu items when I have the Polygon mode selected. The properties do show "POLY #xxxx".
