• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Problem to compile images

Hi all

I wrote in another post but it's not really the same problem.
Since I've Windows 10, I have a problem with compiling map from Google server.

- I choose my zoom
- I add map from background
- Then, Xbuilder import tilesbut stay on the step shown by the screen :

- I've not access to the main window with the "BGL compile" button.

It's as if SbuilderX can't import all the tiles.

Two things :

If I use the lod by défault, the smaller, it work correctly, but only with this one.
On the other hand,
If i made the same try with the VirtualEarth server all is ok, with all the choosen lods

A problem with the googleserver.dll (It's the last, I think, the one from the version 3.14)

I hope you'll can help me

Thank you

Luc

If not all tiles "seem" to have been downloaded because it still says 1 tile or more left to download in the bottom corner of the main window. It may say something like "(1 tiles remaining) downloading from Google Satellite", then try
  1. Hit OK on the dialog you show in your attached image (if you haven't already)
  2. Cancel the main Add Map dialog (if you're still in it) - the one with the mini-image of the area you're capturing
  3. Turn off View>Show Background
  4. Turn it back on again (View>Show Background)
  5. Try to add the map from background again (File>Add Map>From Background)
Quite often this results in the map being added as if the tiles had already been downloaded and the map added. Let us know if you need more information or the steps don't work.
