• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

FSXA Problem with Created Ils Approaces Need Help!

Hello, Im working on creating Peshawar International Airport using ADE Airport Design Editor for FSX and i have created ILS CAT iii approaches to runway 17 and 35- opps.

Now I my problem is all FSX default aircraft will ILS autoland on approach to runway but when im Flying PMDG 747-400X it will not autoland the FMC displays Nav Invalid! Ive used FS build to create Legs waypoints to the runway approach ready to autoland on approach! Now the default airports in Pakistan FSX that have ILS approaches in stock they work with the PMDG 747 ils approaches work with it but when i add ILS using ade PMDG does not pick the ils signals up for some reason it only picks up the stock ils signals.

So where im stuck is all default fsx aircraft land on the ADE created ILS approaches with no problem so i was wondering is their something wrong ive done is their a fix? :confused:
 
Do you have the data on the ILS in your PMDG FMS database? I don't have that aircraft but it probably only uses its own approach data, not that which is in the SIM. The LvlD763 data is in text files, but I don't know how the PMDG data is provided, so I don't know how hard it would be to update.

Navdata?

I have Navdata folder in pmdg which i dont understand the files, also i have Flight plan Folder where all the flight plans are stored for flying to approach runways which i created manuely because pmdg has like 5 percent nav info on anything in pakistan so therefore i had to manuely create flightplans using FS Build.

FS Build has option to tell which runway you want to land so PMDG FMC flight computer Autotunes towards the runway frequency to capture the glideslope ILS which is programmed in the flightplan.

Im Assuming PMDG is only locking itself into default FSX created stock ILS.
The ADE programmed ILS wont pick up only FSX default aircraft will pick up!

ADE i love very much without it could not do autoland in any city in pakistan using default FSX aicraft, which ive added to 12 airports.

Ive created youtube video where ive used ADE to create ILS approaches to Peshawar OPPS runway 17 and u can see the glideslope captures very perfectly using FSX 737.

Although My PMDG 747 will not pick up the signals!

I have FSX Service pack 1 Installed with FSX Acceleration. could it be something to do with Acceleration? :confused:

No, your problem is with the PMDG 747! ;)

Scott has the right of it. The the FMS of the PMDG 747 uses its own database, which does not -indeed can not!- see the new airport information you've added.

For that matter, as far as I'm aware all add-on's that use the Navigraph database will suffer the same problem...

oh thats bad! If it was PMDG itself then why does it pick up all FSX ils glideslopes that are factory default?

Can ADE help to create new ils glidelsopes for PMDG to pickup frequencies?
Or is their another sofware designed for it? Cause i thought whatever we create in ADE any aircraft should pick up the frequencies!

Do i need to contact PMDG for help with ils landings using ADE for support?
Or is there another software on market that allows capturing ILs frequencies for the PMDG 747? :(

PMDG doesn't use the FS database at all. Period.

It uses a custom database that (most of the time) is the same as the one in FS.

Only default aircraft, and those add-ons that use the FS database will "see" any of the ADE modified airports and facilities.

Which is precisely why the FMS being developed for the Eaglesoft CJ1+ has the ability to use either the FS database -OR- the third-party Navigraph database.

Core I7 3.33 overclocked to 4ghz, 12GB ddr 3 OCZ Blade memory, 3 TB WD Caviar Black Drives, 2x Lg Blu ray RW Drives, 1x NVIDIA GTX 295 Overclocked. Vista 64bit with FSX on second hard drive installed. Asus supercomputer Motherboard, TAGAN 1300 WATT PSU, 8 Fan Cooling with Filters With AEROCOOL Touch 2000 cooling system controll. Soon Maybe Maybe i might upgrade to WD Raptor Drives or Windows 7 i dont know!
