Of course, you are aware that Dynamic lighting is not possible in FSX/ FSX: SE. I can only think of 2 ways that could make the lighting more realistic. 1) Within Blender uses the Kelven lighting to mimic it and then bake the Lightmaps. 2) Creating a light fixture within the Hangar (ex. fluorescent). You should be able to use SODE to program it to come on and off with a key command. I personally haven't used SODE but from what I have seen and heard you should be able to create an XML file to program it. Both of these options could be used in conjunction with each other also.
For example, creating the light fixture and baking the lightmaps. Depending on if the lights are on, using the XML you might be able to use 2 different lightmaps, one with lights on and one not (I think this is possible, hopefully, someone will follow up and say that it is or not).
Concerning Kelven, not sure what power usage is in the area where the hangar is, but there are plenty of power converters online to help in this, I know that Blender uses Kelven though.
Hopefully, this gives you a starting point of possibilities.
