• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Is this the same all over the world or just in a specific location?

well i think it looks like its all over mostly with runways that has patches of grass all around it this one was Gbadolite (FZFD) in africa or where the grass meets an area there is only soil no grass ill show u an example with this screen shot this was taken at a different airport M'poko (FEFF)in africa

Well if these are in Africa then it may relate to the land class texture for that land class in that area. I would also wonder about your video card and settings if you have blocky textures. I am no expert in this area but I seem to recall discussions on this in the past that came down to the video card.

I don't see any blocky textures near the African fields. It is most probably your graphics card or drivers which are at fault.

hi

well im using a nvidia geforce 8500gt super+ 1 gb graphic card and the latest driver 175.16 and the graphic card is new its about a month old since i got it my video setting for fsx are as follows:

I may be completely wrong but I recall from the distant past that it is a bad idea to allow the application to handle Anti-aliasing and Anistropic filtering. You might want to try one at a time setting these in the graphics card settings and see if that helps at all

Can you post the exact coordinates of your screenshot so we can compare like for like.

George

Gbadolite (FZFD)

Tower: 118.300 MHz

Latitude: N4*15.00'
Longitude: E20*58.00'
Elevation: 1509 FT

Runway Length Surface ILS ID ILS Freq ILS Hdg
7 10503 Asphalt
25 10503 Asphalt BLT 109.900 254

and i tried changing Anti-aliasing and Anistropic filtering did nt work either

No problems here with AF set to Anisotropic and AA set in FSX.

Well when I display that airport I get a completely different set of textures. The graphics card I use on my development machine is pretty pathetic. Messing about with seasons and other variables does not change things. I am using FSX Accel and I have no reason to assume that I have any odd textures - just the way that my machine displays things. This would suggest that different installations display things in different ways. No help at all in this case.

with :4 gig memory
system type:32 bit operating system windows vista ultimate sp1

and i have install reinstall ,put sp1 an 2 tried fsx acceleration no luck lol i think maybe i have to get a new graphic card cause seem a lot of people having problem with nvidia but i would like to thank you for trying to help out especually scruffy duck many thanks

Hi pavlos.

I think you have your FSX scenery "texture resolution" slider set to 7cm. Set it up to 1 meter and the blocks of color return to their normal fuzzy state.

Dick

Hi you say you have " Full Screen Resolution: 1152*864*16"-- amigo I think it should be 32!!!!..Really Nvidia is as good as they come, I had your card and never failed I am now using a 9800GTS and it roars!!!!!
