• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

PTsim.com offline

Luis Sá is the owner of the site, but he is mostly retired now.

Luis Féliz-Tirado is managing the site, I believe. He has had problems with his computer in the past, so perhaps he is unaware of the problem. Wait and see. Meanwhile, the forums here can provide some help.

Luis Féliz-Tirado has contacted Luis Sa about the problem and it is in his hands.

Mmmm... One month later and still no joy... Any other place one can get the 64-bit version of SBuilder X?

For SBuilderX 314:

SBuilderX 314

The 32-bit version of 314 seems a bit quicker than the 64-bit, and has better memory usage than the original SBuilderX 313... in other words, it is as good as, if not better than, the 64-bit version.

Why don't you leave Luis alone :banghead:

It seems reasonable that I should be able to post factual status updates on matters pertinent to this topic, which according to a prior post by a FSDeveloper forum administrator is "pending a reply" from Luis Sa'. o_O

I believe it is also reasonable to post a inquiry and request a status update directly from Luis Sa' as well, since the decision reportedly is in his hands. :pushpin:

I would rather wish Luis a happy retirement than bombard him with questions.

Me too... which is why I have requested this info of him directly ..."1" single time thus far in my entire history of using SBuilder and being a Beta tester. ;)

Guys, can we keep it easy. Luis Sa has never been very active on this forum and apparently he is sailing on the Mediterranean now. So I guess we just need some patience. Dick (rhumbaflappy) is trying to get in touch with him again.

Hi all.

I have not heard from Luis Sá.

Today I emailed Luis Féliz-Tirado, and if he replies, he may pass along any information he has received... but, he is also much less active in the flight sim community. By now, I'm sure the correct parties have been informed of the condition of the ptsim website.

No one is under any obligation to either restart the site, or explain any of their behavior concerning ptsim.com. I agree it is much better to wish Luis a good voyage, than to nag him about something that obviously does not interest him.

Most any question about SBuilder or SBuilderX is already answered here at FSDeveloper. We are the help file. :)

Dick

Thanks for those encouraging replies; hopefully we might hear something more on this from one of the (2) Luis-es ...eventually. :wizard:

And to Luis Sa': Have a grand and safe adventure at sea; and many thanks for all your efforts with SBuilder over the years. :)

Hello,

I am very sorry that www.ptsim.com site was down for a long time. I received an email from Luis Feliz Tirado calling my attention to the problem but I was sailing since April 30. This Friday I returned home for a couple of days and I made a reset on the ptsim.com web service. The forum seems to be in order. There is something wrong with the site but it is not so important. Next week I return to my boat where my computer facilities are limited.

Thank FSDeveloper for the support on SBuilderX!

Luis

Hi Luis:

It is very good to hear from you ! :)

Thank so much for keeping your web site available, as it is a valuable reference and learning resource for the FS Community, and especially for users of SBuilder for FS9, and SBuilderX. :teacher:

I hope your travels are safe and enjoyable for the remainder of the season.

Kind Regards,

GaryGB
