Hey all,
im currently working on a major project, to redevelop a island called Bahrain. I already got the strm and everything, and starting filling the gaps. Then it came up to the photorealistic textures. I used photo scenery maker to create these textures. Got the images from ptsim , and got them into 3000 by 2400 pixels, but now here is the problem.
I went over tutorials and everything, and i followed the steps , everything went okay. Then i made the ini file, and everything was similar to the tutorial, then when i hit resample, it took less than 10 seconds to resample. The bgl file was 2 kb
... This is when i became suspicious . Fine i went on to converting the textures to dxt1. Placed it into fs and this was the result
As you can see, it imported the textures into fs, but the resolution is kindoff low, and the colors are way different. So i went back to photo scenery maker, and i tried to adjust the resolution, it kept saying it was to big so i couldn't create the file. I went on until i found what is to be the largest resolution accepted for my image. Did everything again, resampling was also less than 10 sec. But this time the bgl file was bigger, it was 7kb
.. anyways converted the textures to dxt 1 again, and moved it to fsx but there was nothing found when i went into fs.
So is there a way i could fix this?
