• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Run Time Error #9

Trying to run SBuilder9, to clean up some Airports, ie, KFCS Butts AAF in Colorado Springs.

Trying to load airport into SBuilder, I type in airport number from, LWMViewer, "number is without prefix, XX92180.BGL", from "Scenery/Ocen/Scenery", keep getting, runtime error 9,"Subscript out of range",

Checking SBuilderX, for FS2004, for runtime error, from what I get for information, the Runtime error 9, has something to do with SCASM.

Trying to run SCASM, I keep getting an error, or Information box, with a DOS screen, that says, "SCASM is a Win32 Console application and needs Command line parameters".

When I hit the OK button the Dos screen disappears.
I'm running, Windows Vista, with a (Program Files (x86)).

Also posted on SBuilder Forum.
And FltSim Forum.

Hi,

This is a general error in SBuilder and means that the index in some array is out of the bounds of this area. Only Luis as the author of the program can debug what is going on. Most likely there is some unexpected code in the BGL you are trying to open.

This has nothing to do with SCASM or any other tool used by SBuilder.

I have a post on their web site, no answer yet.

Thanks for the answer. Maybe Program not installed?

I think you will find that "XX92180.BGL" will contain multiple airports so you will be asking SBuilder to modify them all

In FSX, there are 88 airports in APX20180.bgl.

When I try to upload AB92180.bgl, after I enter the AB92 there is a list of 4 other airports, when I enter the AB92180.bgl that is the only remaining airport.

Colorado Springs is not based in the Oceanic folder (Ocen), it would be in NAMC and the file number is 2018. AB920180.bgl

Using NAMC folder, and AB920180.bgl, which shows up, I still get the, "Run Time Error Subscript out of Range".

This may be bacuase the error has nothing to do with what file you might have loaded but something missing in the SBuilder setup. Alternatively I suppose if could be a decompiler error. The best person to help with this is really Luis I think. I am sure this issue has come up before. Have you Googled it?

I have the post on that web site, no answer Yet, must be on vacation.

Don't know how, don't know why, but, after numerous deletes, and reinstalling, I finely have SBuilder for FS9 working.
I've had it working before, then it quits, which me luck.
