I'm sorry if this has already been discussed. I spend awhile searching through the forum and didn't find one if it's there.
The problem I'm seeing is 100% consistent. Anytime I edit and compile any airport BGL, I lose all runway lighting at all airports. Approach lights, PAPIs, edge/center..they're all gone. I do not notice any other problems other than runway lights.
I use Active Sky Advanced (ASA) with X Graphics. I suspect that this is somehow related. When you load a flight plan into ASA, it compiles weather information and then installs a snapshot of textures from X Graphics based on the average weather along the route. The textures that are installed include clouds, sun, moon, airport background, roads, runways, apron, etc.
When I have this problem (no runway lights), I can go into ASA and manually install a texture snapshot and that fixes the problem. However, the next time I compile a BGL, they're gone again.
Hi Fi Simulations (creators of ASA and X Graphics) state that the textures are all installed using the default filenames and don't seem to know why it would be causing a problem.
Any thoughts what's going on here would be appreciate. Since I can recover by reinstalling an XG graphics snapshot in ASA, this isn't a showstopper, but enquiring minds want to know...
Thanks!
