• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Installed program and do like it.
Went to Jensen airport, South Dakota, SD46. Changed runway from grass to cement. In properties selected for High (runway lights) and I have no runway lights. Going thru the tutorial, cannot find anything on it except for the properties. Only thing I find mentioned is Apron lights and using the guidelines.
Is there an area for adding runway lights? Thanx.

I added runway lights for SD46 and they show properly. Lets review.

I opened SD46 selecting stock airport.

I changed the runway from grass to Concrete

I doubled clicked on runway and in runway properties I opened the Tab at the top that says Lights

In the center of that window I selected edge lights "High", center lights "High".

I compiled the airport and let ADE place the airport in my Addon Scenery\scenery folder. Went to SD46 and set time to night. All lights showed properly.

Could you try this technique and see what happens?
 
Thanks. I did that the first time and it did not work. Now I just started FSX, it built new scenery database and it worked. When I was doing it at first, I selected another airport (Alaska) went into world, scenery library, selected OK and it built the database, went back to Jensen and no lights were showing (night time).
Restarted FSX (from a shutdown) and still it did not work.
Doublechecked everything you wrote, recompiled airport, started FSX, it rebuilt database and it worked. :)

Thank goodness

We do have some small bug issues and one way to get to all of them is with everyones help like yours. Hopefully lights is not a bug and glad to hear they are working now.
