• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Rwy Alt. (r24)

Alright, now things are really getting out of whack.

D/led r24 and loaded an existing airfield. Now my rwy alt and pattern alt are all screwed up. I go and change them to the correct alt (doesn't matter if they are in ft. or m.), select anything outside of the rwy that was corrected, reselect the rwy and the alt has increased times 3.2. Select anything else again, reselect the rwy in question, increases again times 3.2.

Tried to change the alt and lock the runways, no joy.

It appears to change the setting scale to the opposite of what is was org set at. i.e., if I would be in Feet, it would change the alt height to what it would be in Meters once you selected something else (hence the 3.2 variation).

Only work around is to manually go into the xml file and change the alt by hand.

So far it just affects the rwys... so far.

More to come if I find a work around.

I have not been able to reproduce this situation.

What OS are you using?

What java version are you using? (open a command window and type java -version)

XP w/sp2+

1.6.0_02

Never had this prob with 22/23. Just 24.

Going to delete it completely and start again with a corrected xml file.

Russ;

Removed and reloaded r24. Same joy. :banghead:
But... it does not do it with your stocked LGA airport. Only those that have been uncompiled from FSX.

So... I reinstalled r23 and everything works as advertised. :)

Can you let me know which airport you had this problem with after decompiling it, so I can test with that airport?

Thanks!

I think I may have figured this out. If you select the meters/feet combobox, and then select the same measurement (ie if meters is selected and you select meters) then the measurement is incorrectly changed.

I'm going to have this fixed wherever it occurs. Hopefully this is what is causing the issues.

I've had the same issue with KLIT. The altitudes of the markers and ILS components are affected also.

We found another bug that caused a similar issue. If you had more than one airport open at any time, either together or separately, since starting FSX Planner, measurements would be adjusted by some multiple of 3.28 when you tried to change them. The multiple was equal to the number of airports you had opened. This has been fixed for the next release.
