• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hello everyone I'm using saam2 but I can not start it because I get a window with written "invalid control registration Mainfolder" what happened I use window 7 thanks help me solve the problem.

What version of SAMM are you using? The latest is 2.2.05. If you are not using that version, please download it from http://stuff4fs.com and try again.

That message is not likely to ever be encountered by a user on a normal system and has never before been reported. It's a system diagnostic message I placed during development. The only other cause I can envisage is some non-standard item in your system configuration - e.g. SAMM and/or flight sim not installed properly.

I'm using the latest version I tried to re-download it but nothing to do that window all the way up to two days ago was working since yesterday that gives me problems.when I unzip the archive I leave the same folder or I have to create another thank you.

I'm having a little trouble interpreting your message. I infer that you updated from an earlier version of SAMM two days ago and, before that, everything worked. If that's correct, what version were you using before. Also, which version(s) of Flightsim are installed on your system.

As for whether or not a new folder is required, normally that's not the case. But, I would suggest you try with a new folder to see if the problem persists. If that doesn't resolve your issue, please zip up you SAMM folder and e-mail it to don at stuff4fs dot com. To limit the size of the e-mail, please delete all but one aircraft from each of the zipped Models subfolders and do not include your Libraries folder.

OK. So , I infer that up until 2 days ago SAMM worked OK. Then, suddenly, it no longer worked. What did you do 2 days ago that might have affected SAMM or FS9?

Thanks Gadget I found the problem I do not know why I had lost the files of fs9 I installed the game again and now it works thanks and sorry if I made you crazy thanks again for your availability.

I'm having the same problem. SAMM 2.2.05 was working with my FSX-SE in windows 10. I redid my Flightsim Drive. and reinstalled everything. I get the same message.

RoadKing, "I redid my Flightiim Drive" isn't very helpful, but obviously. whatever you did triggered this issue. I suspect there's an erroneous entry in your system registry which is making SAMM believe a version of Fightsim is installed when, in fact, it isn't. I ran into this situation a while back when I uninstalled PV1 but when I installed PV2, it used one of the apparently-leftover registry items for PV1 as well as its own. As a consequence, my system still thinks PV1 is installed.

Since juve25 never revealed what was the cause in his system, perhaps he'll jump in and clarify.

Sounds like you are missing textures. Does the aircraft appear normally in FlightSim?

Don

There's nothing in SAMM that would generate a checkerboard pattern. MCX is the only application I am aware of that applies a checkerboard pattern when textures are missing. Did you, perhaps, submit the SAMM-compiled .bgl fiile to MCX and use a MCX-generated file in its place?
