• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Save as...

Hi Jon

Thanks for your new version and I specially like the new undo option.

I only have some problems with saving. In version 0.45 when I was saving my work, it saved it automatically in the working folder, no different if it was a stock or user airport. This was handy because if I was happy with the result I moved the file into an active scenery folder (over writing the older one if there was one).
With version 0.47 I have to save the airport as "save as" and change the destination folder again. This causing me a lot of work when I'm working on all airports in NZ, I have to change the destination folder every time.

B.T.W. when I'm saving an airport as "saving as", it's adding an extra extension to it (NZAA_AFX_ADE.bgl.bgl).

Hi Marcel

You should not need to use Save As unless you want to change the name. If you Save a stock airport for the first time you will be asked to confirm the name and location. After that it will save there automatically if you use Save Airport. If it is behaving dofferently then there is a bug.

Thanks for reporting the extr bgl. - I have noticed that and it will be fixed in the next version

Jon, I just startet some work with 0.47.
I works quite good. i inserted some parking and moved Taxilines. Connection with FSX works perfekt Thank you.

But I have some trouble saving.
I use file ICAO.bgl and opened it.
If I go to save as ADE creates ICAO.bgl.xml and ICAO.bgl.bgl.

Maybe you can check it.

I try to create some traffic and check the file in FSX
