SBuilder Terrain Texture Seasons

Hi, All

I want to change the texture on an island with SBuilder. The island is tropical, about 10 km by 8 km.

The FS appearance of the island shows a few fields and a few buildings that this island doesn't have, so I changed the ground texture with SBuilder, using a large polygon that covered pretty much the whole island.

It worked, as I have done this many times before, however...

Even though this is a tropical island, the texture shows seasons, and that is the problem, because the season doesn't change on the whole surface together, and straight lines appear separating the tiles with different seasons (no dithering).

Now, I know how do do a complete makeover and go through all the agony of manipulating the seasons, and making the dithering that blends one season texture into another. I have done that before, so that is not my question.

I was just trying to improve this one island a bit with a simple polygon, and I ran into this problem.

So: Is there a way of making a simple (albeit large) SBuilder ground texture polygon, using default textures, which won't have straight lines separarting the different season tiles?

Thanks!:)

Fern

Have you tried changing the land class for the island instead of laying a polygon on top of the existing land class?

Land class, polygon

Hi, Mike

Yes, I have, and it does the same thing, but, as I said, I know how to handle the seasons that way, and I don't want to do it.

I am just trying to do a quick thing, with a polygon.

Any other hints, anyone?

Thanks!

Fern
