• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi guys do you guys know of any other tile servers that can be used in sbuiler thanks :) need some more servers that dont have clouds

I can't remember where I found it (maybe via the sBuilderX forum - see the sBuilderX HELP dropdown) but I recently downloaded the ASK tileserver.
Also have you tried VirtualEarth which comes with sBuilderX?

Hi John

thanks for the help and yes i have but sometimes it has clouds in it :)

Satellite images are taken of the earth from time to time. Unfortunately the entire world is not cloud free at the same time so if a particular part of the world has clouds when images are taken you will have to wait until next time images area taken of the same place and hope the atmospheric conditions are better then.
I have the dll files for 4 servers
Google Earth
Yahoo Satellite
Virtual Earth Satellite
Ask Satellite.
I don't get anything using AskSatellite (do you?) and wonder if it needs an input BUT the three others give me different images of the same place and I wonder if the images are all taken at the same time or not.
Also remember that there are certain parts of the world ( eg Juneau and Sitka in Alaska and west coast of Ireland and lots more) where it rains 300+ days of the year so it would be difficult to get images cloud free.

Hi John

i mainly use Virtual earth satellite as i find its the best resolution and usually cloud free and i feel that it looks very close to what the real thing would look like do you get any images with ASK satellite :)
