• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

SBuilderX: how to join and copy lines?

These features seem to have disappeared in Sbuilder X. They were available in Sbuilder 2.05. Does anyone know how to join two lines and copy and paste lines in Sbuilder X?

thanking you in advance

I can't recall a time where I've wanted or tried to join lines, so no help there unfortunately.

To copy a line, make sure you're in line mode (it shows this at the tip of the cursor) and click the existing line so that it highlights all the points. Hit the menu Edit | Copy, the cursor tip will read Copy, then menu Edit Paste, the cursor tip will show Paste Click on the workspace to place the copied line. Press Escape to get out of Paste mode.

Hi Anthony.

Your Sbuilder.ini probably has a line that reads:

NameJoin=True

...that allows you to go to each line's properties and give them a common name, then select the line icon, use CRTL with left mouse button to select both lines in Line mode. Right-click on the line ( either one ) and you are in Multiline mode...select join all.

There might be an easier way, but I haven't seen it.

Dick

Thanks guys. i think i was still in select mode when I tried to copy and paste and I never would have figured out how to join the lines as rhumbaflappy says.
